These little balls are great snacks or after dinner treats – something healthy that will curb your sweet tooth. I love how easy they are to make and they taste great, 3 mins in the food processor and they’re ready to eat!
Makes 12 large balls;
– 3/4 cup of almonds
– 3/4 cup of walnuts
– 1 cup medjool dates, pitted*
– 2 tbsp chia seeds
– 1 tbsp coconut oil
– 1 tbsp cacao powder
– 1 tbsp maca powder
– 1tsp cinnamon
*can also use dried dates but you’ll need to soak them for at least an hour prior to using.
Combine the almonds, walnuts and chia seeds in a food processor and blend until they have broken down to a flour consistency.
Add the remaining ingredients and blend until fully combined and a sticky mixture forms.
Next use your hands to roll the mixture into balls – they can be quite crumbly so you’ll need to press hard for them to stick together. Place on a plate and store in the fridge until you’re ready to eat!
