If I ever need a chocolatey, indulgent and healthy(ish) breakfast this is my favourite! I’m currently training for a half marathon so this recipe is perfect for a quick turnaround in the morning as it’s prepped the night before – no excuses to not having breakfast!
– 1/2 cup GF oats
– 1/2 cup milk
– 2 tbsp yogurt
– 1 tbsp cacao powder
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 1/2 tsp maca
– 1 tsp sweetener (honey, agave, maple)
– small handful of chopped nuts (pecans and hazelnuts work well)
– 1 tbsp peanut butter
– desiccated coconut
Measure all your basic ingredients together in a bowl until everything is fully mixed, cover with clingfilm and pop the bowl in the fridge overnight – that is how simple this recipe is.
Stir the mixture again when you are ready to eat the next day and add on preferred toppings. This breakfast takes 3 minutes to prep the night before and is perfect for busy mornings!
