Blended Gluten Free Chocolate Oats

One of the reasons I started this blog was because I love experimenting with recipes, and wanted to share my creations with a wider audience. Whether that’s experimenting with an unusual ingredient like chickpeas blondies, or delicious flavour combinations like coffee and chocolate, I basically just like to play around with my food. This bowl of delicious chocolate oats is the exactly the same as overnight oats – but blended! I know it’s not a revolutionary recipe experiment, but sometimes small adjustments such as a texture change is exactly what you need to make breakfast exciting again!

This same technique can be used for any type of oat recipe – why not try the following?

Chocolate, ginger and pear porridge

Spiced orange and date porridge

Unicorn porridge


  • 1/2 cup GF oats (50g)
  • 1/2 cup milk, dairy free if needed (125ml)
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon


  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blitz until smooth
  2. Pour into a bowl, cover and pop in the fridge overnight
  3. In the morning, give the oats a stir, then top with peanut butter, berries and peanut butter granola.
