Gluten Free Chocolate Chai Overnight Oats

Overnight Oats are without a doubt my favourite thing to have at breakfast. Quick to make, delicious and filling, there’s not much I can say bad about them! In the winter, I love experimenting with warm and cosy flavours like these chocolate chai overnight oats.

Lightly spiced with a homemade chai blend and super decadent from the chocolate, these jars taste a lot naughtier than they are! If you’re like me and love indulgent flavours like chocolate, peanut butter and caramel (whilst also eating a nutritious and balanced diet) – you’ll love these!

WHAT IS IN THESE CHOCOLATE CHAI OVERNIGHT OATS?

You only need 10 ingredients to make these delicious overnight oats. They are: bananas, GF porridge oats, milk (dairy free if you want to make these vegan), maple syrup, cacao/cocoa powder, chia seeds and a blend of 4 delicious spices.

The base is made up purely from the bananas, GF oats, cacao powder and milk. However, I like to add in the chia seeds for extra fibre and maple syrup for sweetness! Simply mash the bananas in a bowl, then add in the oats, cacao powder, maple syrup, chia seeds and milk and give them all a good stir.

CHAI SPICE BLEND

To take this overnight oat recipe to the next level, I’ve included 4 delicious spices to create a homemade chai spice blend. All you need is cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and allspice (preferably all pre-ground). These spices blend beautifully together and add a hint of warmth to this wintery recipe.

As delicious as gluten free chocolate overnight oats are, chocolate CHAI overnight oats are perfect for the upcoming winter season. Although the oats are cold, this flavour combination will keep you feeling warm and cosy all morning!
