One of the reasons I started this blog was because I love experimenting with recipes, and wanted to share my creations with a wider audience. Whether that’s experimenting with an unusual ingredient like chickpeas blondies, or delicious flavour combinations like coffee and chocolate, I basically just like to play around with my food. This bowl of delicious chocolate oats is the exactly the same as overnight oats – but blended! I know it’s not a revolutionary recipe experiment, but sometimes small adjustments such as a texture change is exactly what you need to make breakfast exciting again!
This same technique can be used for any type of oat recipe – why not try the following?
Blended Gluten Free Chocolate Oats
- 50g GF oats
- 125ml milk, dairy free if needed
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Add all ingredients to a blender and blitz until smooth
Pour into a bowl, cover and pop in the fridge overnight
In the morning, give the oats a stir, then top with peanut butter, berries and your favourite granola.
