Rooibos Vanilla Tea-Infused Porridge + GIVEAWAY!

Firstly, I need to give you all a life update…I’ve been offered a job! Since moving out of London the beginning of June, I’ve been on the job hunt and can now say I’m somewhat of an interview pro! So relieved it’s all paid off and I’m so excited to start as a Digital PR Executive. My aim was to secure a job before I go camping next week so I can tick that one off my list!

Speaking of camping, I’m heading to North Devon tomorrow where there is very little signal. I’ll be having a bit of a break from social media, as well as makeup, nice shoes and TV (GOT I’ll miss you!) A camping detox is exactly what I need right now.

cofcofWith my life update done – I can now talk about this yummy tea infused porridge! Last week I was sent a lovely box of goodies from Adagio Tea and challenged with making a ‘Oat So Delicious’ inspired recipe using their delicious teas. Rooibos tea has been my favourite brew for many years and of course I’m a porridge lover so this combination was a no brainer! I was actually quite surprised at how easy it was to make, all you need to do is steep the teabag in the liquid when boiling, then take out after 3-5mins (or depending on the teabag brewing time). The tea will have been infused in the liquid so you can continue to make your porridge as normal – I can’t wait to experiment with other flavours!

– 1x vanilla rooibos teabag
– 1/2 cup milk (120ml)
– 1/2 cup water (120ml)
– 1/2 cup GF oats (50g)
– 1 tsp honey
– 1 tsp cinnamon

the water and milk into a small saucepan, transfer to the hob and allow to boil. Add in your rooibos tea bag and leave in the liquid for 3-5min (or however long your the brewing time is on the packet.) While this is boiling add your oats, cinnamon & honey to a bowl.

Turn the heat down as soon as the liquid has boiled, take out the tea bag and add your oats etc to the pan, stirring together until everything is fully mixed. Heat on a low temperature for a few minutes and continue to stir. This will start to thicken up.

Turn the heat off and transfer to a bowl. Add any extra toppings and enjoy!

cofI’m also excited to announce Adagio Tea have provided some extra goodies for me to do a giveaway! The prize for the giveaway will be a IngenuiTEA Loose Tea Infuser Teapot and two Sampler Boxes of your choice (see prizes below) – the tea pot is seriously amazing and the loose leaf tea is delicious!
