It’s nearly Halloween! This year I’m dressing up as a spider – I’m known as the crazy spider lady who doesn’t mind picking up spiders, but in actual fact, I just don’t want them to be killed! I’m also baking some gluten free cupcakes for my works Halloween baking competition – representing all the gluten free folk out there! Plus trying to convince my work colleagues that gluten free food doesn’t taste like cardboard…

Spiced Orange & Date Porridge
Autumn recipes are here! I’ve been so excited to post Autumn/Winter recipes ever since I started this blog in March (how has it been 8 months already?!) and don’t even get me started on Christmas recipes! If there’s any Scrooges reading this I’m afraid Christmas is only 10 weeks away, so be prepared that at least 6 of them will be Christmas themed!
Autumnal Pancakes with Homemade Almond Butter
Yes yes yes to these pancakes! I love them so much that I’ve been making them most weekends just to feel warm and cosy and more autumnal. I’d never tried figs until around a month ago – the first time I ate them they were fresh so weren’t overly sweet. However I roasted them for this recipe and what a difference! They’re sweet, sticky and have such a vibrant colour. Served with homemade almond butter, coconut yogurt and a sprinkle of crumble – it’s autumn on a plate.
Giant Chocolate Dipped Cookies
I want to start off by saying sorry for not posting yesterday! I’ve had such a busy weekend visiting family in Harrogate, and although I took my laptop with me to write this post, I completely forgot to take my notebook which has all my recipes in! Big fat fail. However I had a lovely time seeing all the family, eating wayy too much food and generally having a good time!
